Vinod Kambli: Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli has been killed by cyber thugs. Rs 1.1 lakh was drawn from his account in the name of updating KYC data. Kambli registered a case at the Bandra police station. According to the police officer, a man called Kambli saying that he was a bank officer. He also spoke of the need to update their KYC data. However he asked me to download an app. According to the police, as soon as the data was uploaded in the app, Kambli got remote access on his mobile and also got a one-time password from the bank and transferred Rs 1.1 lakh.
As soon as the money was withdrawn, Kambli received an alert message. Deceived, Kambli immediately informed Customer Care and closed the bank account. In this case, the police are working to find out to whose account the money was transferred from Kambli’s account.
