Harbhajan singh: Harbhajan Singh, one of India’s spin bowlers, said goodbye to his international career on Friday. Harbhajan Singh has given many memorable victories to TeamIndia in his career. The 41-year-old from Punjab has taken 417 wickets in 103 Tests, 269 wickets in 236 ODIs and 25 wickets in 28 T20s in his career. Harbhajan made his international debut in the 1998 ODI against New Zealand in Sharjah. He played his last match for India in T20 International against the United Arab Emirates in Dhaka in March 2016. The BCCI thanked him for his services. The BCCI shared the photo on social media. The caption reads, ‘BCCI congratulates Mr. Harbhajan Singh on his excellent career’.

The BCCI has also shared a video of Team India head coach Rahul Dravid, Test captain Virat Kohli and veteran batsman Cheteshwar Pujara congratulating him on his career. In a BCCI official statement, Harbhajan Singh announced his retirement from international cricket. He is the fourth highest Test wicket-taker for India. He took 417 Test wickets in Tests and the fifth highest wicket-taker in ODIs with 269 wickets. He was instrumental in helping India win the 2007 T20 World Cup.
