Indian star Rishabh Pant has nothing to do with the bat but is setting records as a wicket-keeper. After the Centurion, Pant added his name to the special club, keeping excellent wickets in the Johannesburg Test.
In South Africa’s first innings of the Johannesburg Test, Shardul Tagore caught Lungi Engidi in the over and added to the pavilion. Rishabh Pant set a new record with this catch. Pant became the fastest wicket-keeper to take 100 catches for India. He completed a century of catches in just 27 Test matches.
Before Pant, only MS Dhoni (256), Syed Kirmani (160) and Kiran More (110) have taken 100 or more catches as wicketkeepers for India. He became the 42nd wicketkeeper in the world to achieve this feat.
