A BCCI official told PTI that they would be in a bio-bubble for three days. Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal posted a photo of himself leaving for Ahmedabad on Saturday. He also posted a photo of himself sitting on a plane with Shikar dhawan. This is the first series for Rohit Sharma as ODI captain. He was unable to travel to South Africa due to injury. Former captain Virat Kohli is a member of both the ODI and T20 teams. The BCCI has announced that vice-captain KL Rahul will be available for the second ODI of the three-match series starting February 6 in Ahmedabad.
Jaspreet Bumra and Mohammad Shami are away for two series. Left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav returns to ODI squad Washington Sundar, who is away for the South Africa ODIs, will play in the home series. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the ODI squad for the worst three-match series against South Africa earlier this month.
