IPL 2022: The IPL 2022 auction lasted for two days. On February 12 and 13, 10 franchises bought hundreds of players. A total of 600 players’ names were included in the IPL auction, of which 203 players were sold. This time the franchise bought 67 foreign players at auction. The highest number of 14 players sold were from the West Indies. Twelve players from Australia, 11 each from New Zealand, England and South Africa were sold. Players from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are also associated with IPL 2022.
The IPL 2022 auction has a total of 223 foreign players from 14 countries, including India. The maximum was 47 from Australia, 34 from the West Indies and 33 from South Africa. There are also some players who have already been retained by the IPL teams. Such teams include Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
