My father is a lorry driver. Mother used to go to work in the farm. Ours is a family where both work but do not spend time together. Sometimes we used to think to fill our stomach with three meals. In addition to this, my father was addicted to alcohol. He blew us away. I studied up to Inter with the help of my sister. I said good bye to the study because of making it difficult for them. I came to Hyderabad and set up a salon parlor. Then an opportunity came unexpectedly in Jabardast. As the demand for the salon also decreased, we sold it and bought our own house in Sontur with the money. I didn’t talk to my father for 13 years because of drinking. He didn’t even like to see his face. He died a year ago. At that moment I felt very happy,’ Pavitra shared her anguish.
