Big Bash League: The Perth Scorchers won the Big Bash League on Sunday. Melbourne beat the Renegades by eight wickets in the 21st match of the league. Batting first, the Melbourne Renegades scored 151 for eight. The Perth Scorchers achieved this target by losing two wickets in 16.5 overs. The New Zealand batsmen played a key role in the Scorchers’ victory. The batsmen’s name is Colin Munro. Munro scored an unbeaten 58 to lead the team to victory. The batsman faced just 32 balls and scored a half-century with six fours and two sixes. The Munro strike rate stood at 181.25.
Although Munro was the hero of the Perth victory, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh also backed him. The two batsmen put together a 99-run partnership. Marsh scored an unbeaten 42 off 33 balls with two fours and a six. The Perth team lost the opening pair at 53 for a total of 152 runs. Josh English was out at 23 runs. Cameron Broncroft also scored 23 runs. The first wicket fell at 49 runs and the second wicket at 53 runs. However, the team did not lose another wicket after these two.
The Melbourne innings was similar.

Munro played his last international match for New Zealand as a T20I against India on 2 February 2020. He was not on the team after that. He was left out of the squad for the ICC T20 World Cup in the same year in the United Arab Emirates and Oman. After this World Cup, he was not even selected in the three-match T20 series against India. The Munro T20 record is excellent. He played 65 T20 matches for his country. He scored 1724 runs at an average of 31.34. He scored three centuries in T20. Apart from this 11 half centuries are also in his name.
