The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday suspended Pakistan pacer Mohammad Hasnain from bowling for violating the rules of bowling action. The umpires reported Hasnain’s bowling action in the recently concluded Big Bash League in Australia. “Until Mohammad Hasnain clears his bowling action, he will be suspended from bowling in international cricket. He said that he can bowl consistently at a speed of 145 kmph and he is ready to change the bowling action. The PCB has decided to suspend its own bowling expert report. He said he was ready to work with a PCB-appointed bowling consultant to revise his bowling action.
Hasnain, 21, underwent testing at the ICC Accredited Biomechanics Laboratory in Lahore after completing a five-game stint with the Sydney Thunder. Hasnain, who once delivered 155kph in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), has played eight ODIs and 18 T20 Internationals since making his debut in Pakistan in 2019. He had a strong influence when he replaced the English pacer Saqib Mahmoud. He played five matches in his first season in the BBL and took seven wickets at an average of 6.00 per over with an average of 15.71. Hasnain tested his bowling action in Australia on January 19.
