Produced by Hombale Films with a budget of just Rs 16 crore, the film unexpectedly collected around Rs. It collected more than 450 crores. Rishabh Shetty, who acted as an actor, director and writer for this movie, recently won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, which is considered the most prestigious in the film industry. Kantara thanked everyone who was responsible for the success of the movie as a social media platform. Dedicating this award to late Kannada star actor Puneeth Rajkumar and legendary director SK Bhagwan, tweeted on his Twitter account.
