The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced the appointment of Rohit Sharma as the captain of the India ODI team.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced the appointment of Rohit Sharma as the captain of the India ODI team. Rohit has been appointed as the full-fledged T20 captain following Kohli’s decision to step down after the Indian T20 World Cup.
The BCCI has also decided to appoint Rohit Sharma as captain of the ODI and T20I teams by the All India Senior Selection Committee. The BCCI Senior Selection Committee has announced the 18-member squad for the 3-Test series in South Africa starting December 26. Rohit Sharma has been selected as the vice-captain of the Test team.
