New Zealand became the first team to reach the final of the T20 World Cup after winning the match against England in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. The Blackcaps, who faltered in the 167-run innings, eventually won. The Kawis struggled, losing 4 for 107 in the 16th over. But opener Daryl Mitchell changed the course of the match. Mitchell added a quick 40 for the fifth wicket with Jimmy Neesham. He remained unbeaten on 72 to lead New Zealand to victory. Many former and current cricketers have reacted to the Kiwis’ victory with Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar, veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and former India opener Virender Sehwag. The way New Zealand played in the semis was praised.

Former India opener Wasim Zafar has praised New Zealand for reaching the ICC finals. This is the first time New Zealand has reached the final of the T20 World Cup. The Williamson-led team will face either Pakistan or Australia in the final on November 14 in Dubai.
