The ICC hunts down English umpire Michael Goff. Suspended him for six days. Kovid said on Tuesday that Goff had been suspended from umpiring duties for six days for violating the rules by coming out of the biobubble that is part of the rule. Michael Goff is currently the field umpire for the T20 World Cup 2021. The Bio-Security Advisory Committee ordered umpire Michael Goff to remain alone for six days.
On October 29, Michael Goff walked past the biobubble and met some people. Upon learning of this, Goff was removed from the umpiring duties and moved to a strict quarantine for six days for violating ICC rules. The ICC made the decision immediately after receiving a report that the hotel had been vacated. He was to officiate the match between India and New Zealand at the Dubai International Stadium last Sunday. But he was fired for violating the BioBool rule. He was replaced by Maris Erasmus of South Africa.
India are fifth in Group 2 of the T20 World Cup after losing two matches in a row. Pakistan topped the list, followed by Afghanistan in second place and the Kiwis in third. In Group I, England advanced to the semis. South Africa is in second place, followed by Australia.
