A few minutes later Rahul came back and met me in the lobby. He told me to board the flight and left immediately. They did not even stop there for the official dinner. The call came again from Pawar. I went to his room and found out that Rahul had resigned as captain. India announced their resignation a day before the first match of the ICC World T20.

Then Sharad Pawar .. when asked by Rahul Dravid who his successor is, Rahul Mahendra Singh recommended Dhoni. MS Dhoni became the captain of Team India at the T20 World Cup in South Africa.
